Texting on Galaxy S4 vs iPhone 5?
Is the texting experience better on the Galaxy S4 or the iPhone 5. I used to have an iPhone (3GS) and iMessage worked great! I just liked the interface of it and the keyboard on the iPhone. However, I'm now deciding whether I should get the iPhone 5 or GS4. I do want a phone with a bigger screen, but I heard that texting on the GS4 isn't as good as on the iPhone because the autocorrect sucks and that you have to always physically press the auto corrective suggestion unlike the iPhone where you can continue typing and it will correct it for you. Which one is better?
Autocorrect on the iPhone is more annoying than helpful in my opinion. On Android you get the choice of correcting which is not that bad when you get used to it. Android 4.2 has Gesture Typing, which is pretty nice and accurate for texting. You just swipe over the letters and the word is typed for you with spaces automatically added. Also, Google just released their Hangouts app for iOS and Android, which works great and has video chat as well (basically iMessage + FaceTime on both platforms)
My vote goes for the S4.
- What is a good phone, iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S2, or Samsung Galaxy S3? I need a new phone and I'm wondering which I should get. My friend is selling his GS2 for around 50 Bucks and I could possibly get an iPhone 5 or Galaxy S3. Can you tell me the prices with and without the plan.
