Trying to update iphone 5 to ios 7.0 beta 3?

I have an Iphone 5 on version 6.1.4 (28 version) i have the most up to date version of itunes and i hve triple checked the version and model number and i'm sure i'm correct ( i downloaded both versions neither work to double check) the restore to 6.1.4 and setup as a new iphone works fine i can select which firmware to update however no matter what happens it says that the firmware is not compatible i'm doing this on a mac book pro ( it is also completely up to date) any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The iOS 7 Beta versions are for developers to test their apps with the new system. If you are not a developer it is not for you.

The final version of iOS 7 will be available via the software update on your iPhone in a few weeks.

You won't be able to install the iOS 7 beta unless your device's UDID is registered on a site like http://www.instantudid.com/.It's $5, and then they registered my device on their developer account so I could install the beta on my 4S.

You can update with out development account but?! Don't update now to any ios7 beta the server is down.

That's right I registered my UDID because then your iPhone could be bricked and that's not good at all. Go to the link below to download the specific one and it should be an ipsw file it should have "ipsw" at the end of the file name if it's not then your downloading the wrong one

Now this is where it's tricky depending on your carrier you could have a CDMA type of phone or a GSM GSM's have a sim card slot on the side of the phone CDMA's don't but to be 100% sure what you have go to Apple's device identification site

http://support.apple.com/.../kb/ht3939

Look at the back of your phone and it should have your model ID on it and just see what one it is if it's a GSM then download the GSM one

  • Why isn't my iPhone 4S showing the ios 7 beta 3 update? I registered my udid and I checked for the update in setting and it just keeps saying checking for update. I already updated my iPad mini but my iPhone 4S won't. Any suggestions.
  • Trying to update my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 beta 5, but not updating? I downloaded the iOS 7 beta 5 CDMA file off of ios7stuff.com and I tried updating my phone with the file and my iTunes has been saying "Verifying updated iPhone software" for almost 20 minutes, and my phone screen turned black with the Apple and updating status bar but the update isn't starting. Help! and I do not have a UDID I also have been using iOS 7 beta 3 for a while but it didn't update to beta 4 or 5 which is why I tried downloading beta 5 directly.
