Unlocking iPhone 5 on contract?
Is it possible to get my iPhone 5 (on contract with Orange) unlocked without breaching contract T&C?
I was thinking about going to a shop in town that unlocks mobiles but what if they check up with Orange to see if I'm on contract?
Can they do that?
Would Orange find out?
And would I even have to tell them I'm on contract in the first place?
I would just finish your contract and then at&t will unlock it for you.
I can't see a reason why you couldn't get it unlocked, but you will still have to pay the contract each month, until it ends. As long as Orange are getting their money every month, they don't mind about which phone the sim is used in, or whether it is used at all. You can't unlock it, then just walk away from the contract though. I'm with 3, and I often get my phones unlocked before the end of the contract, and as long as I keep on paying the bill, 3 don't mind.
- Will factory unlocking my iPhone break its contract with my service provider? I bought the iPhone 5 for $199.It's on contract, so it's not only locked to AT&T for two years, but I'm required to pay monthly for the use of this phone for two years. I'm interested in buying the factory unlock on ebay, but I want to know if the contract is going to break with AT&T.

If i buy a iphone for example on att contract and unlock it, will att charge me what's left on the contract or will i just go by like nothing happened and free of contract? I haven't seen this but it makes quite a bit of sense for companies… Not sure if they do however.
- Unlocking sprint iphone 5 but have contract with AT&T? I have a contract with AT&T but got a sprint iphone 5, I want to unlock it but don't know how, I'm looking to legit unlocking but will settle using a website, I don't wanna buy anything like special SIM card holder etc, can anybody help
- Unlocking iPhone4s from contract to pay as you go? If someone has an iPhone 4s on contract with 3, when the contract ends and the person upgrades to iPhone 5, can they then unlock the 4s and use it on pay as you go?
