Unlocking iphone 5 while on contract?
I have an I phone 5 which I bought of a friend. However, its locked on o2. Can I unlock it if it is still under his his contract?
Yes you can. I strongly suggest you get it unlocked by your current service provider as it won't re-lock, should you wish to update the ios anytime in the near future. Local shops can as well unlock the phone however there's no guarantee it won't re-lock if you update the iphone.
You MUST pay your contract before you unlock your phone. If you do your O2 may bar your phone

I bought the iPhone 5 for $199.It's on contract, so it's not only locked to AT&T for two years, but I'm required to pay monthly for the use of this phone for two years. - What happens if i reset my iphone 5 while having a contract with Verizon? I have charging problems with my phone and Some people recommended resetting it, will I still have service with Verizon after i reset Should I go to Verizon was not my question, no one ever answers my question
- Unlocking sprint iphone 5 but have contract with AT&T? I have a contract with AT&T but got a sprint iphone 5, I want to unlock it but don't know how, I'm looking to legit unlocking but will settle using a website, I don't wanna buy anything like special SIM card holder etc, can anybody help
