UPS lost my T-Mobile iPhone? What happens next?

So I ordered an iPhone on the 12/26.It was due to arrive either today or Monday. I checked this morning and it says
"Merchandise is missing. UPS will notify the sender with additional details.
Damage reported. / Damage claim under investigation."
I contacted UPS and they basically said to take it up with T-mobile.
So I contact T-mobile and tell them, but they aren't willing to give me information because only my mom has authorization of the account. She's on vacation and I'm currently waiting her to call me back to authorize me or whatever.

But I'm still curious as to how this will play out. The T-mobile person only told me that there would be an investigation but wouldn't tell me how long or anything.
Has anyone had this happen? Does T-mobile investigation mean even longer before I get my phone or do they just send me a replacement while still investigating UPS on my missing phone. I mean since it wasn't even in my possession will they can't penalize me right?

First of all, since the phone was never delivered to you, in a way, that is a good thing for you. More than likely both T-mobile and UPS both doing their own investigation into what happened to the package.

You ordered the phone from T-mobile. I would suggest that you be persistent in contacting T-mobile. Tell them that you ordered a phone and that it has not arrived. It is their responsibility to send you a phone. The details of what happened are not really your problem. Don't get angry but just call T-mobile and explain the situation. All that really matters is that you ordered a phone from them and it has not arrived. They will have certain policies they follow in a case like this.

As far as authorization from your mom, she can call T-mobile and let them know you have her permission to discuss the account.

  • What happens if i report my iphone 6 lost at T-mobile? Would they be able to give me a brand new one? Would they track down the device. And whoever stole it, will they be able to use the phone? Also i have the plan Jump.
