Use My Iphone Internationally?
I have an Iphone 4s running IOS 7. My family and I are going to Europe for two weeks and I'd like to bring my phone with me so I can take pictures and keep in touch with my friends, HOWEVER I don't want any international charges for texting, data, etc. I want to bring it around with me to take pictured but ONLY would like to use it to text and use data when I'm on hotel Wi-Fi. Is there a way I can do this so I don't get charged?
Place it in airplane mode on the way over. That turns off everything. Once there, come out of airplane mode, but turn off all cellular data and cellular roaming. Wi-Fi only. Best luck.
Always keep the phone in Airplane Mode. First, turn off Cellular Data and then turn on Airplane Mode. When in hotel Wi-Fi area, turn of Wi-Fi and use it for texting via apps only like Whatsapp, Viber, etc.
