Used iphone on ebay, good or bad idea?

Thinking of buying a unlocked iphone on ebay. Is this a good idea? Will I have probs with activation? Can I use straight talk with it?

It should be fine as long as they allow you to return it just in case. Look over all the details. And no you shouldn't have any problems, as long as it was originally with that carrier, (it might be different for iphone, but I'm not sure).

If the seller has good recent feedback then sure. If it's an unlocked (or ATT branded) iPhone it will work with a Straight Talk sim.

Why not. BTW, I'm selling an unlocked iphone, so email me at stefan_zxcvb@live.com if you want details

  • Would it be a bad idea to get an iphone 4? I can get it for free, but is it too old? Will I not be able to do things on it that I could on another phone? What are the pros and cons of getting it?
  • Would be a bad idea to buy the iphone 4 now? I can't afford the iphon 5/s, but I did initially want the a samsung galaxy first. Anyway, I like to watch movies, listen to music and generally surf the web a lot. I also like to download a lot of apps and take pictures. Would the iphone4 be significantly inadequate now. If it helps I'm 18 and my parents can't afford and think it's morally incorrect to get me a iphone 5/s, but I'm not complaining.
  • ITunes update idea, good or bad? Apple products are getting stolen and being sold for profit. But some iPhones have passwords and to remove is to restore backup from iTunes. My idea is if any iTunes account is on the phone, when you restore it will ask for password of the account on the phone. Rendering it useless for the thief or thieves. Is this idea good or bad? Or maybe it already exist?
  • Is this a good or bad business idea? I plan on buying some plain iPhone cases and decorating them with sharpies and stuff. They're about 8 bucks per case, I figure I could sell each case for 20-30 bucks. Is this a good idea? Would you pay 20-30 bucks for a case?
