Using iMessage on iPhone 4 without phone service?
A couple months ago my phone had service, but due to it being so expensive, I had to stop paying. After it was shut off, I was still able to text my friends that I messaged before. Is there a way to message other people that use iMessage without phone service?
As long as they have an iPhone their iMessages turned on and you were around a Wi-Fi network
- With a moble hotspot, does the connected device work better if the phone isn't using service? I'm trying to watch Netflix on my computer with my iPhone's hotspot but it keeps stopping to load. Is this because I'm also on my phone?
- Will the iPhone 4s still work without phone service? Some one is selling me an iphone 4s. But i wasn't thinking of putting on a phone service! Will everything work the same except me making calls? Can i still usse the internet? Can i still text using messeges app? Can i use the texting app that the ipods and idevices come in?
- Why is my iPod touch using my iPhone's phone number for iMessage? I don't know why it started doing it but my iPod says it's using my email and phone number on iMessage but I don't get why or how that's even possible. Please explain this.
- Using iPhone 4s without cell phone service? My older sister gave me he iphone 4s yesterday because she got the iphone 5 as a college going away gift. Can I still use the iphone without a sim card? My parents dooesnt want to add me to the family plan until January (my 14th bday). I don't want to wait until january to be able to use it.
