Wet iphone currently on rice?

So yesterday at 8pm i dropped my phone on water, i took it out almost immediately. I then turned it off and put it on rice. Today i took the phone out to show my mom, i pressed the home buttom and it was actually still on and the phone looked good from what i saw, no lines or anything weird on the screen, everything good. Is this a good sign?

You didn't take out the battery and sim card!

Yes this is a good sign that shows that no immediate damage was done to the circuits. You were very quick to respond and you did the classic rice bag which was awesome, but you missed out the part where you have to take out the battery and sim. Well your phone should be fine.

  • Will the rice trick for a wet iphone still work if its on? The light for the camera is still on. Will the rice trick still work? I left it in rice just in case. Please ANSWER
  • Will rice save my iphone after getting wet? My iphone was accidentally dropped in a toilet bowl and i immediately picked it up for just a few second. Then i turned it off. Then i wiped if off and even gently shaking it to try to free any trapped water inside. After 10mins i turned my iphone on and i can hardly swipe and touch it, i tried to restart it until i decided to just shut if off and soaked in in a bag of rice. I don't know if it's effective.
  • Will or work if I put my iPhone in a rice bowl after a month of it getting wet? About a month ago my phone got sweat on the screen or it was too humid and hot and so the screen turned white with vertical lines on it but after 10 minutes it would go back to normal and now it does the same thing every morning. Will it still work to put it in a rice bowl?
  • Rice not helping wet iPhone? I had my iPhone3GS connected to a car charger, and it fell into the cooler full of water without me noticing. It could have been in there for at least 5-15min. I got home and put the phone into a bowl of rice. It had been flickering with light, but now there's no light): it won't turn on and I don't think the rice is helping. I don't have a license so I can't go get alcohol to put it in): please give me other ideas): thank you)
