Umm not sure but deleting some applications that you really don't use can make your storage go up. Also some music that you don't hear. Or some old data that you have that you don't use. Hope this helped
Deleting photos and videos and music frees up a lot of your space, and go to general>usage>and then you can see what apps are taking up the most space.
