What Do I Need To Create an Iphone App?

I would like to know what I need to create an Iphone app I have a windows 7 pc

The only way to create iphone apps is to have an apple mac as the software to create the apps is only available on macs, (i found that out the hard way)

1. Apple Developer ID ($100/year)
2. Mac ($500? Whatever the going scam rate is these days)
3. Xcode (no additional fee after you have Apple Dev ID)
4. Willingness to let Apple decide if your App is acceptable for iPhone
5. Willingness to give Apple 30% of all sales you make on your App

It seems like there was one other burn I'm forgetting, but I don't recall.

So basically Apple forces you to buy a Mac if you want to do iPhone/iPad Dev. This is the primary reason none of my Android or Win Mobile apps exist on Apple platforms. Technically you could install OS X on a PC (VMware, etc.), but Apple has an artificial license restriction on OS X that prohibits its use on anything but Mac hardware. Microsoft does not have this artificial restriction and so it is legal to install Windows on a Mac.

The only way to get around what mdigitale said is to develop a web app using HTML5.

IPhone apps are made in Objective-C. Obj-C is the base language for Xcode. Unfortunately, you can't make iOS apps on a PC. You could use any scripting language-CSS, HTML, javascript, PHP- to make a web app and manually install it

  • What software do i need to create a iPhone game? I've been wanting to build/design my own game for a while now though i've never known where to start or what software to use. Can anyone give me any ideas and thoughts on what to do or if there are any books out there that can help me out? I don't expect it to be easy and i don't mind if it's hard and time consuming.
