What happens if I don't accept a transfer of money on paypal?
I sold an iPhone 5s & it was all going good with the transfer of money I just had to wait for my paypal account to be credited, but then something happen when I got an email from paypal that said "technical issue" I was suppose to get 570$ for it & some how paypal added 330$ I do not know how that happen, so now the transfer is of 900$ which I still have gotten, the transfer is still going on but for me to get my account credited PayPal is asking me to send 300$ back to the buyer. So me & the buyer came to an agreement, I told him that I don't have the money to send him the 300$ He said "okay it's fine" so he contacted paypal telling them about my problem, they reply saying that "in order for me to get my money I have to send him 300$ via western union & send them the details that I send him the money. I'm not going to send him money. So my question is, is there any way that he can get he's money back & how? Please I really need advise!
Check the headers of the email you got from "Paypal" and your paypal account as this seems like a scam from the buyer. Paypal will never tell you to send money to a person from your bank account. Also check paypal for the address to send suspected phishing emails to.
- When will PayPal send my money into my account? I've just sold an iPhone over PayPal, I've sent the item this morning, along with the tracking code, and it's on it's way. PayPal said that the funds will be in my account in the next 21 days and that it's pending, due to safety issues. Can that person reverse the payment? He wanted to buy an iphone for a little less and offered the seller less to go through paypal to go around ebay and save on fees. The seller said if he would just send an invoice through paypal.
