What's Wrong With My Twitter Account?

I'm having problems logging in to my twitter. When I requested to reset my password assuming that was the problem, I never received an email. I asked for further help via twitter support and i received a request # however still no help. Twitter doesn't recognize my email nor my password and I'm not sure how long this have been as I had been automatically signed in to my twitter on my iPhone i tried to log in from my computer and it didn't work so i deleted the app of my phone tried to signed back in via phone and it didn't work. What could be the problem? Hacked? I want to get my twitter back! I have build up a following and don't want to start over.
