Where can I learn to read modern standard Hebrew? (Not the biblical Hebrew)?
Please help me. I want to become a translator/interpreter or diplomat when I grow up, and I'm already learning Arabic, Russian, and Korean. I've noticed that Isreal and it's language would be a very useful language to know. Every where and every one teaches the bible version though. I want to read and write with what's modernly used in isreal.
So, just to make sure you all know what I mean, I'm going to type out all the modern standard letters from my iPhone key board. Maybe someone could help me.

I'm sure you'll get more help at the Travel>Africa&MiddleEast>Israel section. If you already know Arabic, Hebrew will be very easy since they're both Semitic languages.
There's a very important book which you can get from Amazon, the Title is Hebrew for Idiots, You also need a good Hebrew English dictionary )
Going to Israel and using immersion is one of the first. You can get Rosetta Stone ( Good but expensive Pimsleur ( almost as good and less expensive Watching hebrew movies on You Tube, and reading newspapers in Hebrew

- Learn to read write and speak Japanese? So I would like to learn how to read wrote and speak Japanese for low or no cost.
