Which camera should I get to make short films?

Depends upon your budget, what your needs are, how long are your short films going to be.
For most, avoiding digital cameras and just getting a camcorder is by far, the best solution. If you need the ultra-bright lenses light f/1.4, for example, in order to shoot in low light or for that narrow depth of field look, then you'd have to go with either a mirrorless camera like the Panasonic GH4 or a DSLR. Just be aware that no digtal camera can shoot HD films longer than 12 minutes. They all use a file system that limits the maximum size of each file to no more than 4GB which is 12 minutes of HD recording. Also, the sensors in digital cameras get very hot and after a while the camera will shut down. For these reasons, unless your short films are < 12 minutes, don't get a digital camera, but go with a camcorder. With a camcorder, you get all of the functionality, usability, adaptability, and overall proper design for video. With digital cameras, the video feature is there for convenience therefore they all pale in comparison to camcorders.

- Why are only some Ultraviolet (download copies/codes) films available on itunes? I've got 4 films on dvd with a code on a slip for an ultra-violet digital copy which i can download onto my account and watch anywhere. When i have downloaded and redeemed each code, two of them have given me the option to also redeem in itunes and add to my itunes account for my iphone/ipad. Why are only some available on itunes as well? Also is the disc to digital service where i can scan a dvd and redeem it for a price only available in the US? I'm in the UK
