Which iPhone to get for the first time?

I use a decent smartphone, gets the job done. It's getting a little outdated. It's an android, and I like it. I've never owned an iPhone before, and am thinking of buying one. Seems very practical. Which one would you guys recommend?

Also would you recommend Virgin Mobile? It seems their phones are much cheaper than retail. I'd like to go with no contract, so I would have to purchase the phone unlocked. I see VM has the iPhone 5s for $440 dollars right now. Where as a brand new one from Apple would be $649. It does seem iPhones have high resale value which is nice.

So which phone should I try out for the first time? Newest one?

I would never suggest a iPhone two or more phones out of date. The newest release is the iPhone 5s/5c, so don't go past the iPhone 4S.

When Apple releases a new iPhone, they release it because it is better then the version before. So of course, the iPhone 5 won't compare to an iPhone 5s.

Anyway, I suggest the iPhone 5s. The 5c is just the iPhone 5 with a color case built on.

Anything with a 5 because thats when they started offering Lte which a a MAJOR difference when compared to 3G speeds… And also the 4 and the 4s are beginning to show their age. But the 6 will be out soon. They are nice phones and last a long time atleast 3 years.

If you can get it for 440 then I would get that, its a great phone and that price I haven't seen that low.

You are right that when you resell it in the future, iphones hold their value far better then other phones, so you actually get alot more back for it.

IPhone 5s is better

  • Would syncing my iphone for the first time erase my data? I have never synced it to an itunes since getting my iphone(4) earlier this year, i'm wondering if i sync it to a freshly installed itunes on a laptop will it erase all my data? (apps, contacts, etc.) Also i have my music in a music downloader app. So is this risky?
  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…

My friend cracked her screen and when she brought it to the apple store to get it fixed they fixed it for free only because it was her first time cracking it, and well that happened to me a few days ago so I wanted to see if it was true, anyone else had theirs fixed up for free first time it got cracked?
  • I didn't charge my iPhone enough first time? Now the battery doesn't last a day I got it yesterday and didn't charge it for 8 hours if I let the battery drain then charge right up for a good few hours will this improve my battery life?
