Who has ownership of the iPhone?
If Lucy bought an iPhone 5S for her AT&T account and also bought with AppleCare+ but Tony (user of the iPhone 5S) has put the warranty under his Apple ID account. So who has ownership of the iPhone 5S?
Added (1). Tony is the person of usage of the line and phone under AT&T.
Added (2). If Lucy had gave the phone as a Christmas gift to tony, would it be his?
The owner is the one who paid for it. The warranty is a different issue and is most likely void since he is not the legal owner of the phone.

Lucy is the owner of the phone, unless she gave it to Tony. The warranty will need to be in the name of the owner of the phone. If it's not in the owner's name, the warranty company can refuse to make payment or repair for it.
It would be as if I went and bought a warranty plan on your car. That doesn't somehow make me the owner of it, even if you let me drive it.
If the ATT account is in Lucy's name, and she bought the phone, then the phone belongs to Lucy. It matters not who *she* is allowing to use the phone.
If Tony is a minor, the phone belongs to Lucy. But even if Tony is a adult, and a relative, Lucy can take that phone back if Tony is being an @$$hat. Lucy could also call ATT, report the phone stolen, and render the phone unusable, leaving Tony without a phone, period.
- My iPhone 6s has no phone case and I've dropped it several times but there has never been any damage The screen hasn't cracked and it still works like new and the phone is as old as when the first iPhone 6s came out. But it's just funny because i Never have a case on it and it's fallen, maybe only 3 feet at most onto wood floors and nothing has happened yet. Anyone else relate?

- How to transfer ownership when purchasing used iPhone 6? So I have been looking at iPhone 6 and 6 Plus phones on eBay. I wanted to buy a broken one and repair it but I see a lot of phones for sale with bade ESN/IEMI/locked iClouds. ASSUMING All THESE THINGS ARE GOOD, what is necessary to "transfer ownership" from the previous owner to me so that the iCloud isn't locked? They won't be able to use it until I repair it. Am I going to need their Apple ID and password? I'm an Android guy so I'm not very familiar with Apple.
