Why can't I listen to YouTube in the background on my iPhone?
Normally I would double click the home button, and slide right and press play, and it would work, but since I updated my iPhone, I couldn't do that. Any solutions?
No devices with the youtube app allow you to run anything from youtube in the background. It is the way that youtube has set up their app. The only way to get around this is to download the video and import to your device. Otherwise, if it is a song that you are wanting to have on your device, you should use something like 'Youtube Downloader/Converter' to download the MP3 and then import to you device.
- YouTube won't play in background? IPhone 4? I have an iPhone 4 and I can't get my YouTube to play in the background like when I hit the home button it turns off or when I lock it and press play it will play from my album from iTunes. I use the YouTube app. How can I get it to work?

- Run youtube in background on iphone 4? Ios6? So i downloaded ios6, which deleted the default youtube app from my iphone. I downloaded the free youtube app in the app store, but now when i play a video, then go to the homepage and double click the home button to try and play the video in the background, that is not an option.
