Why didn't apple announce the iPhone 6 at WWDC 14?

Since 2010 they only announce the phone in an event in Sept. Why announce what we already know? This builds buzz feed, social media frenzy with silly rumors and crazy talk. It's all part of their marketing plan. Best luck.
Apple hasn't announced/launched a new iPhone at WWDC since 2011, making the 2010 iPhone 4 the last one to be announced at the event.
Apple, as they have done in the last couple of years, is expected to announce the iPhone 6 in September.
- Will the iPhone 4S be Free once they announce the new iPhone? Once they announce the new iPhone so basically the new iPhone will be $199.99 and the iPhone 5 $99.99 and the iPhone 4s Free? Cause they did it in the past the iPhone 4 is free the iPhone 4s is $99.99 and the iPhone 5 $199.99 the reason I asked is cause I was going to buy a iPhone 4s but then I remembered the whole Free thing and I do want the iPhone 4s badly not the iPhone 5 cause alot of people got the iPhone 5 that I know and I do like the iPhone 4s design to be honest.
- Why is Apple so lame? Why doesn't it announce the iPhone 5s/6 next week? Seriously! I''m sick of giving AT&T free money since December 2012. I refuse to upgrade unless it's a Sony Xperia Z or a new iPhone. I refuse to buy a Galaxy S4 because it looks lame. If you're a guy that likes a hot girl's attention then you can't flip an S4. Here's a release plan for Apple: Announce the new iPhone and make everyone happy. The problem is that dumb people(67% of consumers) will buy the old iPhone even if a new one has been announced.
- Why did apple announce the iOS 8 before the new iPhone? I'm leaving for Brazil at the end of august and every one is saying that the new iPhone 6 will be released in september, i still have hope that it will come out in august but that doesn't really matter right now. I just want to know, WHY apple has announced the new iOS 8 BEFORE the new iPhone 6?
- What if I didn't purchase Apple Care when I bought my iPhone 4s? It's almost a year since I've had my iPhone 4s and I just dropped it on tile floor today and it fell on the screen. No cracks. No breaks. Nothing my lock/power button had already been broken so I tried pressing the home button and my screen doesn't turn on nothing works. So if i take it to the Apple Store could I have them give me a replacement? If not at least fix it? What should i do?
