Why do people call me a prep?
Hi, I'm 14, in junior high, and people always call me a prep-which is understandable because middle schoolers are very ignorant to real 'groups' and cliques. I wear Lacoste, Raulph Lauren, Abercrombie, UGG, Sperry, Campus Vans, some Hollister, I only have but am not limited to Apple products (I have the iPhone 5, iPod, iPad 2 and a Mac). But I don't consider that a true prep. Even my teachers have called me a prep -.- I know, sad, haha. I've had one teacher say something like, "The paper is back there by preps are us." Referring to where I was sitting. Haha, is there a reason why?
It's probably because of the way you dress and as they'd say, "spoiled" because you have a lot of electronics. It's a stereotype (label) that states the way you dress. Like I would be labeled an "emo" because I wear black. (Even though "emo" is a genre of music and not a style.) I wouldn't let it bother you though. It's just a stereotype.
They are actually calling you a Perp.
Briefly, because you are perceived to be more popular, attractive, and/or wealthy than most of the other students, and because you are perceived to have people with similar attributes as most of your friends.
That's perception. It may or may not be true. 25 years ago, the word had an implication of being a bit of a snob where I lived.
- Why Won't My Iphone Send Messages And I Can't Call People? So whenever I try to send a text message to someone it never goes threw and when I try to call someone it won't work? Sometimes it will say ''calling -enternamehere-'' but there's no ringing or anything and it could stay like that for hours if I just never hit end call. It WILL work if I turn my phone off and back on though. Anyone else have this problem? Its an iPhone 4.
- Why won't my unlocked iPhone 4 let me call people? I've just unlocked my iPhone as it was on orange, I've put a guff gaff SIM card in n I can text receive calls and go on Internet but when I try calling people it won't let me!
- Why people like iPhones? I can't never get people who like iphones to give a good reason, why? Some say it easy, but a lot have no clue on how to use their own phones. Can someone explain something useful that great about iphone? Everything they think is special other phones have been doing for years.
- Why is it when people call my iPhone they show up UNKNOWN? I got my iphone a couple weeks ago. At first I thought it may just be something that would go away within time. But it hasn't. I have a iPhone 4 and whenever someone calls my phone they show up as unknown or blocked. I tried tiring it off for half an hour then tiring it on, then I tried to take out my SIM card and wait half an hour to turn it on again. Please, if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
