Why do people think that the Garden of Eden was paradise?

There was no pizza, ice cream, curly fries, iphones, Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, good books to read or good movies to watch. How could that be fun? Seriously!

And worst of all there was NO soap, deodorant, tooth brushes, mouthwash, or tooth paste! Yuk!

There's no good reason for anyone to think there was a Garden of Eden.

Um because it had everything that us humans needed. The things that you list are things us humans made to make the world we live in like Eden but cause its man made it won't be the same. Sorry for this answer but its true we created things to make the world we live in better like hygiene, entertainment, knowledge, etc.

Most of that stuff isn't good for you or can contain bad things. Besides, paradise is in heaven and Adam had the most beautiful and perfect woman by his side and I don't think that he had time to dream up all of that other worldly stuff.

We could be living in a near utopia if our priorities were straight and we designed our technology to work with nature, rather than against it.

It would have been paradise for people who either can't or don't want to think.
