Why does my iPhone 4 keep going into recovery mode by itself?
It started randomly about a month ago. Ill be using it and ill turn the screen off and ill go back to it later and itll be off. I hold the power button and nothing. I plugged it into my computer and it said its in DFU mode or recovery mode one of the two and it tells me to restore. I just do the hold power and home button method but since this was random what could be the problem? It was working fine then it started happening and this has never happened before. I'm reselling it so I wouldn't want this problem happening.
Try this steps:
Turn off your device. If you can't turn it off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time and wait a few seconds for it to turn off.
Plug the device's USB cable into your computer only.
Hold down the device's Home button as you connect the USB cable to it.
When you see the Connect to iTunes screen, release the Home button. If you don't see this screen, try steps 1 through 3 one more time.
iTunes should open and display a message such as: "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."
Use iTunes to restore your device.
- Why does my iphone screen keep controlling itself? So my iphone is in horrible shape, in terms of a broken screen. It's having a hard time responding to touch and I can't type. Also, it keeps opening apps on its own. Someone told me that the screen is pressing up against the digitizer and is acting as if I was touching the screen due to the cracks. If so, can I just replace the broken screen or do I have to buy another phone? I want to wait on the iphone 6 to use my upgrade.

I can't get any source of signal, the Wi-Fi switch is greyed out, the date changed to December 31 and the time is an hour behind. The battery before I plugged it in was 20% its been 5 minutes and its up to 100%. Pretty weird.
