Why does my iPhone only charge when it's dead?
I have an iPhone 4 and it only charges when it's completely dead. When it turns on its at 3% but then it stops charging and if I try to use it unplugged it dies really fast. Another thing is that it stays at 1% if it's plugged in and it stays on if it's plugged in. I really don't know what's going on. Is it the charger or is it the phone? I'm confused.
I would try a different charger first, the charger might be "bad", thinking any charge in enough. Modern chargers are 'smart" meaning they should stop charging the phone once the phone is fully charged.
Time to call Apple to ask this one.

I thought my charger broke so I tried my sisters but that one didn't work either. Do you know how I can fix this or what's wrong? Please answer!
- Why does my iPhone 4 charge only when its off? I had my iPhone 4 for a year and a half. It's really cracked bad! I never had any problems with it charging but all of a sudden it stopped charging when its on, but when its off it charges. Could it be over heated cause I charge all night lots of times? It's not water damaged. I changed the charger, and the charger isn't the problem.
