Why does my iPhone receive messages late when I'm in a group text?
I have the iPhone 4s with 16g (I have less than a gig left of space) and am on T-Mobile.
Every single time I'm added to a new group text, my phone delays all messages sent to me. Regardless of whether it's another iPhone or if they're on the same carrier as me, none of my messages get to me until an hour or so later.
Is it because I'm low on space? Or is it T-Mobile (probably the worst carrier I've ever had by the way)? Or is it the iPhone software?
Probably how Tmobile is routing texts to you. Remember a tower in your area is handling hundreds of transactions at any given time. Some transactions are put in queue like cars in traffic on the freeway. Especially if the group text is having to dole out to several recipients at once. Also iMessages run through Apple's servers and not Tmobile's towers. So if you have issues with that too, then I'd try this step below. Hope you see improvement. Best luck.

- Why is my iPhone 4 receiving text messages late? I have an iPhone 4, I've had it for just a year. The past month or so, sometimes I'll receive a message. However, when I check the time it was received, it was usually 5 or 10 minutes ago, today I just got one from 18 minutes ago and it only just notified me now. It's starting to bug me a lot, can anyone tell me how to resolve this problem? The phone is also running the most current software, I always do updates (even though it steals all of my storage, grrr).
- Why don't I receive alerts or a notification when I receive a text and I already checked my settings? I adjusted my setting and even put the ringer and notifications on and put the volume and ringer on and I receive no alert, no pop up, alert or notification when someone texts me. Why? This is the iPhone X! I went to the cell phone/ carrier store and they didn't help me. They said to go to the apple store or check the settings. I already adjusted the settings. So what do I do now?
- Why does my iphone5 receive text messages twice? When my iphone5 is on the lock screen and I receive text messages, unless I respond or look at it right away I will receive the same text message a minute later. Does this happen to everyone? How can I turn this off? It's very annoying!
- Why does my iphone not receive group messages unless 4g is on? When I'm at home and I'm using Wi-Fi I always turn off cellular data because I don't want to accidentally be using up my data, but whenever it is off I never receive group messages until I turn it back on? Why does it so this and can I make it so I can still receive group messages when only using Wi-Fi?
