Why iPhone s earbud make loud buzzing noise?

When I was playing music on my iPhone 5s using its earbud, suddenly it makes a loud buzz (nearly killed my ears). At first, I thought it was my phone, but when I unplugged my earbud, the sound works fine. And then I thought my earbud was the problem but when I tried to restart my iPhone, and plugged in my earbud, it works! Happened for a few times and I still don't know how and why it happened.

Your audio jack is probably fried

Try it with different 'buds or 'phones. If you get the same problem then the phone is the cause, most likely the headphone socket. If it only happens with those Apple 'buds then they're faulty; hardly surprising given that they are made almost as cheaply as possible and as bundled giveaway freebies just to get you started. Even so, if your 5s is still under AppleCare protection then so are the earbuds.

  • Why isn't my right earbud working in my iPhone only? I have a pair of Bose earbuds and recently I have been having problems with them. The right earbud in them has not been working but it's only the right one and only in my iPhone. It has been working in every other earbud on my iPhone though the earbuds have been working properly, so what's the problem of my bose earbuds
  • Why is my iPhone making a buzzing noise? Whenever I play music or any sound is made on my iPhone 4s (which I have only had a couple weeks) it sounds like the speakers are sort of buzzing. Like the music isn't clear. It sounds like if you were listening to the radio but it wasn't tuned properly. What could be wrong and how can I fix it?
