Why won't my iPhone 3G download apps?
I go on the App Store and look for free apps only. It tells me that I need to upgrade to 'ios 4.3' but I've been on Youtube and Google researching how, and it just tells me that I can't because the iphone 3G is an older verison and is out of date?
I've already jailbroken it, have the Cydia app. But that doesn't help much, either. I can't even download the Facebook App. Ugh.
So what should I do?

version is 4.2.1 (8c148)

You must upgrade your operating system.
You have to buy a newer phone. Sorry but there isn't anything you can do. The iphone 3G isn't supported by apple anymore so you won't be able to get any apps. I would suggest just getting the iphone 4 now bc it is like $1 now with an upgrade. Don't buy a 3GS though bc it will b dicontinued from updates next year just like how urs is now. I had the same problem a few years ago… Sorry

And when i type in both my password and scan that are obviously correct, it takes me back to the main screen. F iphones.
