Why won't my new iphone 5s sync music?

I just got a new iphone 5s yesterday, and everything has synced and moved over from the last backup, except my music. The 36 songs i actually purchased moved over, but all the rest that came from cds or *cough* the internet *cough* will not download. I've read the help forums and tried all that they suggested, including backing it up and restoring it to factory settings, and even unchecking "sync music", syncing it, rechecking it, and syncing it again. Now that i think about it, I remember having this issue the last few times i tried syncing new songs from my music library to my iphone 4. Can anyone help? Instead of having the 500-something songs on my iphone, i have 36 that i bought years ago.

I agree itunes can be tricky. I suggest you try this great app called itools its free for download and compatible with your iphone and any other ios device.once you have downloaded it connect your iphone it will be detected go to the media tab click import music locate the music on your computer and select.walha! All your is music automatically sent to your device.
