Will Apple repair my iPhone 5? - 1
I opened up my iPhone 5, and tried to unscrew the screws holding down the plate of the ribbon cables. I didn't have a screwdriver that fit so I just closed my phone back up.however, now the screen seems to be unconnected from the phone. Plugging my phone in, my phone still makes sounds. I'm thinking there's a problem between the connection of the screen part and the rest of the phone (might be in the ribbon cables?)
I know that you lose your warranty from opening up the phone, but will Apple still repair if i opened it? Or where should I take my phone to?

Apple does not repair your phone. You have to take it to local service centre
They should, my screen completely cracked and they did it for free because my mom argued for about 2 hrs because it was gonna cost $300 which is more than what we bought the phone for. But something like this should cost you $30 tops, sometimes they iphone repair booths at malls

I'm an iOS technical advisor for apple and i get questions similar to your all of the time, and i guess i got some bad news. The second your screw driver touched the phone you voided your warranty. We will not repair it or replace it even if it is within that 1st year. There's a seal inside the phone that lets us know if the phone has been tampered with.
However, if you want to purchase another one you won't have to pay the full retail price. You can buy one for the out of warranty replacement price, which is $229 for the iPhone 5
