Will iphone 4 lose its Facetime compatibility?

Francis G says iphones will soon be discontinued, does this mean Facetime will no longer work on them?

Added (1). I did put a link.

No idea who Francis is but obviously has no idea what he's talking about.

Apple only support the last 3 Iphones
ie look at the Apple website an ONLY 3 iPhones can be bought

IP5, IP4S, IP4 similarly you can't get a IP 3GS on network contract

date? IP4S RELEASED, IP3G DISCONTINUED
12/09/12 IP5 announced, IP 3GS DISCONTINUED.

You can always check this BING GOOGLE.

Now the IP5S IS COMING 4 /5 months max, sooner would be my guess
I DO know one thing it WILL BE 4G LTE READY as All IP5 are only 4G LTE ON EE ONLY
NO IP5 WILL BE 4G LTE on Yodafone or O2 as All IP5 only have one band 1800 MHz used just by E E

My answer to your other question was removed by YA as reported.
You now have information which you can check yourself.
Facetime will work but new Apps may not. It is your money but considering eg a 32Gb Class 10 microSd costs £25:00 approx on Amazon.co.uk and you only have 8Gb on board on the IP4 that is one reason to at least look at other phones.

The Lumia 620 is a mid range phone, the IP4 a "premium" phone.

If you want the IP4 note its cache will fall on being discontinued, but to repeat feature/ function already on the phone STAY.

You are not trading down by getting the Lumia 620, it is what future capabilities a 3 year old phone will have.

So whilst the IP 5 is the premier iPhone you have to look at the IP5 and compare it to the market, and not the IP4S.
To that end just the first paragraph of this answer

  • Why is the iPhone SE is on the bottom of the compatibility chart? Read more? So I looked at the compatibly chart for iOS 11 and I saw the iPhone SE and I noticed it on the bottom on top of the iPhone 5s. Why is that? Are they going to drop support for the SE before the iPhone 6s? Like come on it just came out last year. The iPhone 5c received the same amount of updates as the 5. I don't understand because my SE is plenty fast. like it has the A9 chip and that came out in 2015 https://www.apple.com/...1-preview/
  • Why does my iPhone constantly lose its signal? I have Verizon (6 year customer) and have had my iPhone 4s for 1 year now, however, the past month or so I will be sitting in my house on my phone with 3-4 bars loading a page on the internet or using an app requiring data and I'll just directly go to "no service" (as noted by the small "o" in place of the "3G" icon. Not sure what it is, but my service has been abysmal lately, I've cleared all cache and website data, but nothing seems to be working:/
