Will my iPhone still have service if i leave Alberta to Ontario?

I'm with Bell since i know there might be some differences with Phone services

Well like i asked well i still have service if i do leave my own province? I'm thinking about going to Thunder Bay to vist my grandma and i would like to know if i'll still be able to text or call people if i go there since its outside Aberta

Yes, it will work as usual.

Yes you could have service. You could also have a big bill. Suggest you check with BELL for what plan you have and how much it costs. For YOU. Too many plans to give you a good answer.

The PHONE will work. You just do not know the price.

Ontarios main provider is bell!

maybe look at adding a long distance place for the month.

I believe if alberta people call you while you are in ont. Then its local, but if you call alberta people, or ontario people its long distance. Texting is always local.

It should work fine.

If you call someone back home, then you will incur long distance charges.
If anyone calls you, you will incur long distance charges.
If you call someone in the local area, and do not put a 1 in front of the number, and it goes through, then you will not incur long distance charges.

Data and text are the same as if you were at home.

Jazmyn,

My iPhone is with Rogers in Montreal. I just went to Calgary where Shaw is the big provider and I had no problems using it.

The main thing you need to watch out for is long distance charges and cellular data usage. You can set up your phone to try and use Wi-Fi services whenever they are available, so that you can receive emails and texts via that method. Places like Second Cup, Starbucks, and McDonald's all offer free Wi-Fi hotspots and will save your cellular usage amounts.

You should be able to make local calls in Ontario without any long distance charges, but calling back to Alberta would be a long-distance call. You may want to have your friends or family from Alberta try to call you. There's usually no extra charges for receiving calls, just placing them.

But ultimately, I don't know what plan you have with Bell, so I'd suggest calling their support number to discuss this with your representative. I think you can also dial *611 from your phone to reach Bell Customer Service, and ask them that way. Just be sure to have your phone number and account number available in case they ask for it.

  • Will the Comfort Suites Downtown Windsor Ontario pick up ATT wireless signal? I'm going to be traveling to Windsor Ontario soon. I have ATT and an IPhone 4. I will be staying at the Comfort Suites near the Detroit/Windsor Tunnel. I was inquiring if anybody had stayed there and could still pick up the ATT wireless signal, and not get charged for roaming.
  • Will I still receive missed imessages when I leave a Wi-Fi area? My iphone 4s currently has no service as in the phone is shut off. However, I still can send iMessages. My question is if I iMesssage someone and I leave the Wi-Fi area will I receive their response message when I find another Wi-Fi area or will I just never receive it?
  • Why does my old iPhone still have service? I activated my new iphone and when i turn on my old iphone it still says "Verizon" at the top left hand corner. Why is this? I already activated my new iphone and all the calls go to my new phone so why does the old one still have service?
  • Shipping from Ontario to Maryland? Ok so I'm wanting to ship my old iPhone to a friend in Maryland. I live in Ontario Canada and was wondering ABOUT how much it would cost. I'm not entirely sure on the city in Maryland unfortunately.
