Will updating my iphone 4 to ios 6 will disable its carrier unlock?
My Iphone 4 is currently running on ios 4.3.3 and I wish to update it to the new os (the ios 6), but don't want to lose its carrier unlock. I don't actually know if its an official factory unlock or what but what I know is that the Iphone is not jailbreaked (So If I assume right, Is it really a factory unlock and won't be affected by any update?). Please give the answers not involving a jailbreak.
Software 6.1.1 is released n you may update your iphone. If its Factory Unlocked nothing harmful is going to happen at all. & it will work fine wid your machine…
However jailbreak goes away wid software updating…

If it is not jailbroken, then it probably is a factory unlock or imei unlock in which case updating will not cause you to lose your unlock

I know that if you 'Majorly' update your iPhone it will erase everything from your iPhone like updating ios 4 to ios 6, but what if you are just updating your iPhone from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 on the same version, is there any difference or it will also remove everything?
