2005 Chevy Cavalier new stereo installation?

I recently bought a used 2005 chevy cavalier, and it has the radio that came with the car. I'm definitely a new head unit so i can play music from my iphone and was wondering if it would be easy to install mysefl. I've already seen dash kits, just wondering if i should install myself or go for geek squad or something?

Do it yourself, its super easy. Go to autozone or pepboys and go to their car audio section. There you will see small wiring harnesses in clam shell plastic containers. You want to look for the one that fits the factory 2005 cavalier wiring harness for your car. Next you will need another small wiring harness adapter to go from the end of the new wiring harness you just attached, to your new head unit. Both of these wiring harnesses are about $15 each. The last thing you will need is the dash kit for your car, just look for the one that goes to your car and your all set. Just attach the two wiring harnesses together, (they just snap together) clip that to your cars audio wiring harness. Then put in your dash kit to fit the new radio. Plug in your new radio and put the slide it into the dash. It is an extremely easy process. If you can put 3 lego pieces together and turn 4 screws at most you can do it. The most difficult part of the process is taking off the necessary pieces of your dash to access your old radios screws.
