8GB IPhone 5C running out of memory despite having few apps?
Basically, in the storage part of the setting it shows me having used 4.4 GB with only 852 MB of memory left. It says that the biggest user of my memory is my photos with 1.2 GB, however I have just uploaded and deleted all but 1 of my photos and this figure has not changed. I have deleted my photo library, stream, deleted pictures. Everything. I only have three apps downloaded because of this, snapchat, Instagram and kik.
Previously i had to uninstall the update which freed up 1GB of data but after taking some photos at a concert yesterday it got to the figure it is at now.
I have tried the Battery Doctor which came up i my usage section as freeing up 800MB (about three weeks ago) but i have recently deleted it as it did nothing to help me now and I just feel the figures it comes up with are false as that was the only time what it said in the app matched up with the usage figures.
I'm not sure if this would have affected i but a few months ago i did have the three month trial of apple music and once the trial ended the memory wasn't cleared up as far as i'm aware.
Could it be that the Usage figures are wrong? Or is it something else? I haven't actually been unable to download anything for lack of memory, but thats more because i have been wary of not using up my memory so i haven downloaded anything.
Sorry for the random bits of non-chronological information. If anyone could help me sort this out I would really appreciate it.
Well 8GB is a very small amount of memory. Things such as the operating system and default apps are probably what is eating up all your memory. Solution: Buy a higher memory iphone or better yet, buy an android phone. Unless you would like to keep having this problem.
- What do I do when I run out of memory on my iPhone 4 8GB? I have about 20 or 25 apps… 260 songs. That's about it and I only have 2GB left. I add like 10 songs a month but if I keep it up I will soon run out of memory. Will I have to buy a 16GB iPhone 4 and sell my 8GB or is there some way I can get more memory installed?
- My iPhone won't unlock despite correct password? I have an iPhone 4 and the password has been the same (4 numbers) for the past 8 months. I was able to unlock it fine around half an hour ago, but now it won't work. I'm sure that I typed in the same exact 4 numbers, yet it keeps saying it's wrong and locking me out. What do I do? It won't let me sync to iTunes because my phone is locked. Again, I'm 100% sure I have the right password.
- Is 8gb enough memory on a iPhone 4? I'm thinking of buying an iPhone 4 but not sure if 8gb will be enough, I will have 2 films 100-200 songs a decent amount of apps a general amount of photos and one or two videos? Is 8gb enough?
- Is 8GB enough memory for the iPhone 4? So, I'm undecided between the iPhone 4 8GB. I have an iPod Touch 8GB and I never had to erase memory but I only have 2.8GB left.plus I only have 100 songs. How much memory can 8GB hold? I have on my phone 2000 pictures, 350 songs, and 20 apps. I really want the 4S but, its a little on the expensive side, does Sprint have the 4 in 16GB? All i'm planning on having is a lot of pictures, around 500 songs, and 50 apps MAX, I mostly only use Insagram and Twitter.
