8GB iPhone strorage almost used up when I've only used 4.8GB?
My phone is 8GB storage and I have only used 4.8GB and only have like 500MB left… Why is this and how can I change this?
500 MB equates to 3.2 GB
It does have 8gbs of storage but Apple usually uses about 1~3 gbs of that storage for the iOS, update, apple apps, messages, safari info, etc.
Try buying more iCloud storage
The operating system uses up that storage as well, if you have an 8gb iPhone then you will have around 6-7gb or usable storage with iOS 9 and a low 3-4gb storage if you have iOS 8 installed.
1st off 8GB is not much to begin with particularly when they are calling for people to stop offering 16GB phones.
2ndly you don't get all 8GB to use, so that could be part of the explanation there & then cache memory from the rest of the apps being used
- Why my iphone 5a says storage is almost full why I've almost nothing? So my iphone 5s says my storage is almost full while pictures is about 800! And I've no music no books and no big apps! This happened before And I tried deleting all pictures and most of the apps but nothing changed! So I had to format & update my phone then it worked… Now it happened again I can't delete my stuff because it's ridiculous! - Why have I paid for 8gb but only got 6? I've recently bought an iPhone 4 with 8gb but when I synced it on iTunes it says I only actually have 6gb. This is with "other" which I know how to reduce. Also on my iPhone itself on settings it says I only have 6gb. This memory is very valuable because I only have 8gb and if I'm honest I think I should have bought at least 16gb. Can you help me by answering with an easy answer baring in mind I'm only 15 and you'll probably confuse me?
- Why does my Iphone 4 only have 6.3 GB of storage when it's supposed to have 8GB? I looked in the "usage" section and it says that I have: 4.6 GB used and 1.7 GB available Shouldn't I have 3.4 more GB available because I have 8gb of storage? I'm kind of confused.
- Used Iphone 4 used for Wi-Fi only? I'm thinking about buying an iphone 4, but i plan on using my wi-fi instead of getting a plan. Will I be able to do this? I'm going to be buying the Iphone used. Please don't ask why not just buy an ipod, the person who is selling it to me is giving it at a good price. & also, the seller had at&t. If decide to activate the iphone will i have to activate it wity at&t?
