I accidentally clicked on one of those gift card scams, I don't know what to do?

About three or more weeks ago I clicked on this gift card scam on an app called Amino. I received a message from someone or a bot pretending to be the app and it gave me a link to receive a gift card. I clicked the link (stupid, I know) And I was on the link for a minute or two. I didn't give any info or anything. The account I had on the app was set up with my email account, which had been deleted prior to me receiveing the message. This may have been before or after me clicking the link, but sometimes when I went back on it, a post would have been liked by me, that I know I didn't like, it was only one and it happened rarely so it may be a glitch. I deleted my account a few days back and you can restore your account (I have a few times), but I won't do it anymore. I was wondering if they could steal any of my info or put malware onto my phone. I have an iPhone by the way. Nothing has really happened since I clicked the link, but I did connect my phone to the computer and a few days later my computer wouldn't allow some files to be opened, something about the dns serves and an error module. This was later resolved within a day and no software protectors on my computer found malware or viruses. So what is the likliness that I caught a virus, malware, or even got hacked?

If you have an iPhone you are fine as you can'g get malware or viruses on an iPhone. If you have any problems going forward just do a factory reset on the phone. But be sure to back up everything before you do this

Stay safe and err on the side of caution, iphone plug into power, when at 60% go to general/bottom select reset, now erase all data and reset to factory settings… Pc i would also do a factory reset and not keep your files, would remove everything and start from scratch, would install ccleaner and in advanced section remove windows old to be certain, when everything is updated i would install zemana antilogger which encrypts keystrokes, log into all accounts and change the passwords of all, bit drastic maybe but as i said, better to not chance it and sleep soundly without wondering what if?

  • Master card gift card declined online? I just bought a $25 MasterCard gift card. I'm trying to buy this iPhone Backup Extractor version that costs $24.95 but my card keeps getting declined. They are a registered company in England & my card says valid only in US, but that shouldn't matter for online, right? i already registered it online.
  • ITunes Gift card instead of Credit Card? I found some things that i have been wanting on the iTunes store but i do not have a credit card registered with my account. If i were to buy an iTunes gift card, would that work in lieu of the credit card requirement? Also, the apps that i want to get are for the iPhone. Would buying an app with the gift card affect the plan with the phone in any way?
  • If I get someone an iTunes gift card, can they use it to buy movies and then watch those movies on AppleTV? I haven't really been able to find a practical answer on any Apple site or forum. My brother buys & rents a lot of movies via his AppleTV. I want to get him an iTunes gift card but am not sure if buying movies on the AppleTV works through iTunes. Would an iTunes gift card work for this purpose? I know it may have to be redeemed on a phone/computer but I want to know if it can then be used on the AppleTV.
