Are TVs, radios, Iphones, and computers an abomination in the eyes of Jesus Christ?

I mean all those things just ain't natural! Have you ever seen a laptop grow on a tree? Me neither!

They aren't supernatural ergo they are natural.

But if being man made is a problem you should throw potatoes, bananas, cattle, in fact all domesticate crops and animals in with that list too. And technology like clothing, buildings, cooking, harnessing fire and on, and on.

To hear christians tell it, reality is an abomination in the eyes of Jesus Christ?
superstitions are silly aren't they?

Yes. So you and your brethren get off the Internet immediately.

Hold your horses there, English.

Sand and petroleum products coming together with gold to produce great Ju, Ju? Inhabited by invisible spirits that respond to your questions. It's alchemy! It's blasphemy! It's enjoyable to humans! Of course it's an abomination in the eyes of Jesus, those are the rules.

"All things, therefore, that you want men to do to you, you also must likewise do to them." (Matthew 7:12) When we apply those words of Jesus Christ to our use of cell phones and computers, we treat others with respect and show good manners

"Keep strict watch that how you walk is not as unwise but as wise persons, buying out the opportune time for yourselves." (Ephesians 16) Time is a precious gift from God and should not be squandered. Granted, technology can save time. The Internet, for example, can speed up research, banking, and shopping. But it can also steal time if we spend hours aimlessly surfing the Web.

"Guard against every sort of covetousness, because even when a person has an abundance his life does not result from the things he possesses." (Luke 12:15) Material possessions, no matter how costly or fancy, can't give us life or true happiness. Only God can. "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need," said Jesus. (Matthew 5:3) The commercial world, on the other hand, equates happiness with material things. 'Buy, buy, buy,' it says. 'You must have the latest.' Do not be deceived. Instead, be wise. Analyze your motives and needs before parting with your hard-earned money. Remember, too, that many high-tech products rapidly depreciate in value. So if you do need a certain gadget, ask yourself: 'Must I have the very latest? And do I need one with all the costly extras, which I may never use?'

Many products of science and technology are practical and can save us much time and energy. So by all means use them if you need to, but do so responsibly and considerately.

Yes, when the message is evil.

  • Why does my iPhone keep connecting to TVs? I'm on a college campus and every single time I try to watch any type of video or movie on my iPhone, it automatically says "Playing on TV". I don't know which TV it plays on and I simply don't want it to. How do I turn it off?

  • Why are one of my radios not receiving RBDS and one is? I have a FM transmitter for my iPhone and it happens to transmit the name of the song over RBDS. When I have my cell phone with a radio inside it within about 10 feet of it it picks up the name of the song as well. My other Insignia Tabletop HD radio also has a RBDS (not to confuse with HD) tuner in it. For some reason that radio, even when the antenna is touching the transmitter antenna, does not pull it up. Is there any reason why this happens?
