Backing up iPhone on iTunes?
If I back up my iPhone on itunes on my computer, what gets backed up? Like does literally everything get backed up. Like photos, contacts, messages, notes etc? And where does it actually go? Does it create a folder on the computer or something?
Added (1). Is it only supposed to take like 1 minute?
By default, it back ups everything except apps I think. But, you can configure it and select what you want to back up. In windows, the backup location is documents\my music\itunes.
If you are backing up your iphone, ipod or ipad you need to be sure that the computer you are backing up on is the computer that you used to sync your device before. If it is the computer you have used before to sync then it will backup your apps, music and photos. I'm not really sure about contacts it may or may not back it up.
- Would you pay to have the backing glass of you iphone changed to a different colour? I was thinking of this has a business idea. I saw that the new ipods had different backing cases of different colours and i was thinking i would really like my iphone to be blue, so would you think it was a good idea to have the back of your iphone a different colour, would you pay for it?
- Would backing up then restoring an iphone remove a jailbreak? Due to the recent release of IOS 7, i plan on updating my iphone 5(ios 6.1.2) but it is jailbroken. Would backing up then restoring my iphone keep all my pictures and app data while removing the jailbreak? If not what is your best recommendation for me to do. Would really appreciate an answer thanks!
- Restoring iPhone and backing it up? -Well my iPhone 4S has been going in and out of 3G to the no service circle a lot lately so I've read it's Apple recommended to restore your iPhone. -Now, my iPhone is backed up on my computer, but my question is, when I restore my iPhone back to factory default, am I still allowed to back it up after the restore so I don't lose all my contacts (300 contacts), pictures, etc. -Idk I'm a total noob when it comes to backup and restore for the iPhone: p.
- Not all of my music us backing up to itunes? I've recently brought a new laptop and i'm trying to backup my iphone 5 to the latest version of itunes. A lot of my music hasn't copied. The only music that has been backed up is the songs i've purchased from the itunes store. Is there any way that i could back up all of my music and ready made playlists to my itunes
