Block a number on iPhone 4S?
Is there any settings on the iPhone that allows you to block a number? I don't want to receive any texts or phone calls from a specific number. I was wondering if there was a way to avoid paying the 5$/month fee through Verizon to block a number. Also, I did not jailbreak my phone nor do I want to to resolve this.
Verizon can block up to 5 numbers for free per line on your account. There's no charge as this is not under "usage controls." You can also block these numbers by logging into your my verizon account and clicking under the "I want to" chategory and selecting "Block calls and messages." The block will last for 90 days, after which you will need to resubmit the block.
- When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
- Is it possible to block block numbers? I have a iPhone I just a call about an hour ago. It was from a blocked number they left a voice mail witch was only 3 seconds long. S/he didn't even say anything. I would love to know if I can block this. They are really scary for me.
