Can i activate iphone with a no contract prepaid sim?
I have an iphone 5 from verizon, can i activate it with a prepaid sim off of ebay with no contract or service whatsoever?
Without service of any kind it will be an iPod period. If that's what you want--it'll work.

Many eBay iPhones are "blacklisted", having bad esn's, useless except for parts. Not all Verizon phones use sim cards, it would have to be unlocked if it indeed has a sim card slot.
- What's a prepaid phone? Can IPhones be prepaid? I'm going to buy an IPhone 4 from my friend and i'm wondering if it can be prepaid? If so do I need anything like a sim chip? & It's not on contract… Or could I just go on a plan without being on a contract?
