Can I buy an iphone 5c from Best buy and use a straight talk card on it?

I've only had one phone for about a year, and it's a crappy little straight talk phone that barely works. I want to get an iphone 5c. I have about 265 to spend on the phone itself, and 115 of that is just towards a Best Buy gift card specifically to get the phone so I have to buy it there.

Now I went to the straight talk website and it said you can use their service on iphones. Can I just go to best buy, buy the phone, and get the same $45 unlimited card from walmart I've been getting for my current phone? Are there any extra charges? And does this affect internet speed too?

If anyone has any advice on this, or what the cheapest plan I can get is (preferably unlimited text/call and average data use) that'd be great.

You can but it needs to be a gsm compatible iphone 5c, and it must be unlocked you can get it unlocked on this website just follow the instructions.

  • Which iPhones can use a Straight Talk SIM Card? I want to buy an iPhone that can be used for Straight Talk off of eBay, but I'm not sure which ones I can use? From the iPhone, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4G, and 5, which are compatible?
  • Where can I buy a SIM card for straight talk? I just bought an AT&T iPhone 4 and want to use it for straight talk. The straight talk website says it is compatible all I need is a straight talk SIM card. I can buy it online but I was wondering if I can also get it from Walmart Wireless? The only reason I'm asking is because I don't want to wait for it to come in the mail.
  • What SIM card should I use to put my unlocked Verizon Iphone 5c on straight talk? I just purchased a GSM unlocked Verizon Iphone 5c and am currently trying to put it on straight talk. I've purchased the BYOP kit from walmart and I know I need to use the nano sim but IIm not sure if I should use the at&t compatible SIM card or the T mobile? Or does it not matter? Any feedback would be really appreciated.
  • What's the best iPhone to use on Straight Talk? I'm looking for a new phone and won't settle for anything less than an iPhone and need it in my price range(not over$200) and doesn't really give me any problems at all.
