Can I jailbreak or update my original iPhone to ios7?
I have the original iPhone 2g. I was wondering if there's any way possible to hack/jailbreak or update to allow the newest firmware, ios7, or something better than the current 3.1.3.
Seems like a lost cause, but I thought it would be awesome to do so in order to avoid it becoming obsolete.
Any suggestions? It will be greatly appreciated.
You wouldnt want to do that. Throw it away! Its a garbage phone and no way you can get ios 7. CPU isn't powerful enough! And its too old
No, you can't do that. IOS 7 is available to iPhone 4 and the later models. IPhone 2G is too old and CPU is not powerful enough to run the new iOS 7. You can get a new iPhone, like iPhone 5S, 5C or others.
No. 3.1.3 is the last. No chance at 4, 5, 6 or 7. Unfortunately it long became obsolete.
You could try an alternative that gives you a little more freedom, like whited00r. It gives you the look and feel of iOS 6 and some of its features. It even has Cydia for the people that want to jailbreak!
