Can I pay for a cancellation fee for a cell phone periodically?

Hi, so I got an iPhone 6s less than 2 months ago on a 2 year plan with virgin. It cost 80$ per month but it was stolen. I want to cancel my plan but I found out I'd have to pay almost 800$. I don't have that money right now so I was wondering if they would let me pay the fee monthly. PS I've already blacklisted my number and reported the theft to the cops.

You just need to keep paying the bill. Too bad you didn't take out insurance on the phone, as you could have gotten a replacement and kept on paying the bill, and still had a phone to actually use. Granted you would have needed to pay the insurance deductible, but that is far less than $800.

And the phone gets blacklisted, not your phone number, unless you meant the IMEI/ESN.

  • Will I have to pay a fee to get my iPhone 5 lock button fixed? My one year warranty ends in November but I have a little crack in between my flash and camera. It's right where my mic is but honesty it doesn't really affect anything on my phone. My main concern is my lock button. If I can't get a completely new product like some of my friends have gotten, can I just pay for the lock button portion? It said that it could repair that specific piece possibly. If so, how much is it usually?
  • When do you pay the upgrade fee for an iPhone? I know it's $36, but aside from the $199 +tax I'm going to pay, do I have to pay the upgrade fee right away or does it show up on my next bill?
  • What will happen if I don't pay my termination fee? So I have an 2 iPhone 6's and an iPhone 5s combined have a total etf of like $1300 and I'm not paying that. I planned to sell the phones to try to pay it off but what if I sell it to an AT&T customer? (Phones came from AT&T) can they just pop their SIM card in and the phone will work since it's locked to att?
  • What happens if you don't pay your carriers monthly fee? I was thinking of buying iPhone 6 but I'm going to shift now so what happens then do I have to pay them the whole money before leaving the country? It's sprint.
