Can I realistically get into UCLA?

GPA (not including Freshman year)-

Weighted: 4.25
Unweighted: 3.9

SAT score: Took it twice, 2080 first time, 2110 second time

SAT Superscore is 2140.

SAT Subject Tests: Bio E: 760, US History: 730

EC's/Hobbies:

-Running/(Interning at) a company with a friend of my dad's, selling custom iPhone and iPad cases. I haven't officially sold any yet but I tried getting a deal with my school but failed, but now I'm in the process of designing my own from scratch.

-Bhangra dance: I took classes for this from middle school throughout freshman year, and have been dancing on and off. I have performed with my sister in front of large groups of people and at parties and stuff, but nothing like a competition.

-Playing basketball: I have been playing basketball consistently since freshman year, but not on my high school team. I trained hard to try out for varsity a few months ago at the end of my junior year, but fractured my wrist before tryouts. My high school is also arguably best in Cali so there's that.

-Enterprise Leadership Conference: I was selected to go to ELC, where high school students are placed into different groups of eight and given three days to get to know each other, design a product and business plan, and present to judges. We won first out of twelve groups.

-Volunteering: I have volunteered at a place where we feed and clothe the homeless, about 20 hours each year, although it was mandatory to do so.

I plan on majoring in Physiology or Human Bio and potentially going into Sports Medicine. I'm Indian if that matters.

Wow. It honestly sounds like you can and I know a few students who attend there. You can create a profile at cappex.com & they'll tell you the chance of getting in based on UCLA's admission requirements. It's free.

  • Is there anyway a thief can get into a locked iPhone? :( someone stole my phone yesterday. It was one of my so called friends however I notify the police, apple and my phone company.
  • Is it possible for an entering college student to realistically survive without a smartphone? (Ranting WELCOME)? I currently have a smartphone (iPhone SE) that is badly cracked, and I've gotten the opportunity to get a new one, which happens to be, a dumbphone. I'm entering college in a few days, with a super high powered, functions I'll probably never use laptop, could I realistically survive in college without a smartphone? Please give the hard truth REAL details… Feel free to rant!
  • IPhone 3GS stuck in recovery. Can't get into DFU I tried updating to iOS6.0.1 while preserving baseband with redsn0w. After everything was done, it said "use the Recovery Fix or Jailbreak option". But to do that, the phone needs to be in DFU mode, but mine is stuck in recovery and it does not go into DFU mode! What the hell am I supposed to do?
  • I want to get into electronics repairs.how can I start? So I have been talking to one of my friends and he mentioned how he sold his broken iphone 4 with a cracked screen to someone and the guy fixed it and sold it making a few bucks out of it. I'm wondering if there's any way I could learn how to fix electronics (such as an xbox, ps3, phones, tablets etc) and if there are good places to go buy some broken electronics to fix. Do any of you have experience in doing this as a full time or a side job?
