Can i swap sim cards between iphone 4s?

I attempted to jailbreak my iphone 4s, (stupid idea) and it bricked up. So i was wondering if i could take the sim card out and put it in my new iphone 4s and if it would have the pictures, contacts, games and such that it did when i bricked it.

You won't have any of your personal data on the new phone. Only your carrier information is stored on the sim. You can always re-download purchased apps without any charge. You can sync contacts from icloud.
