Can I trade in my iPhone 4s for the new iPhone 5?

I recently bought an iPhone 4s, but I keep hearing about the upcoming release of the new iPhone 5. I was wondering if i would be able to trade in my iPhone 4s for the 5. I'm with sprint and I haven't even opened the iPhone 4s box yet

You can't trade in a phone. The next time you get a phone you have to be eligible for an upgrade which i believe is 20 months after you bought your 4s

You would probalby have to pay a little more as 4S is now cheaper.

If you really want to trade your iphone4s you can let sprint buy your phone back, its the sprint buyback program, you can ask a sprint store if they participate with the buyback program or go to the sprint website, you can check this site to get an estimate on how much they will purchase your phone

I'm with AT&T and they have a 30 day return policy on all new accounts/equipment. I just purchased my iPhone 4S 2 days ago and after speaking with AT&T today, they advised me that since the iPhone 5's release will be within the 30 day return period, I will be able to essentially swap my 4S for the 5.

What I will have to do is just go into the store, tell them I want a different phone, and since I paid $199 for it already, I can just pick up the 5. You must return the phone in "Like New" condition with all original equipment.

That's exactly wat happened to my husband and i. He had no idea until the information on the release came out, he was livid. We just got the 4s two days ago. Hopefully we can fix the problem tomorrow at sprint. Did anyone have any luck? Or info?

I bought my iPhone 4s like 6 days ago, you have a 14 day guarantee to return your iphone 4s for a full refund minus $35 restocking fee, and then just pay the difference of what the iphone 5 would cost, that's what I'ma do.

edit: I used mine but since yours isn't open they might not charge you the $35 restocking fee.
