Can I trade in my iPod touch 5g for an IPhone 4?

I just got the new iPod touch for Christmas and I absolutely love it! But I really want an iPhone… I know the bills for it are expensive but I'm saving up… And I was also wondering I have AT&T and what would be the average cost for the phone bill if I just want the texting and calling and only go on the Internet if I have Wi-Fi? But anyway back to my main question can I trade in my iPod for an iPhone?

Not sure about the trading option. If you need details of the AT&T and others plans for iPhone, here they are: http://www.bluebugle.org/2013/03/t-mobile-iphone-5-carrier-plan-details.html

You can't have "service" for an iPhone (or any smartphone) without buying a data package. So, whatever calling package you have, add $20/month to it. Don't forget the government will add another $5-$10 in taxes on top of that.

Who are you expecting to do this trade? AT&T? Why would they want a used iPod Touch? Apple? They will give you a discount on buying an iPhone if you trade in the Touch, but they won't trade you straight up. Your only hope is to find someone with an AT&T iPhone that is willing to make that trade, Just be aware the iPhone4 will be "used", probably needing a new battery and significantly slower than your Touch.

No remember that iphone 4 is a phone.
