Can I trade in my white iphone 5 for a black one?
Is there any way I can do this? My carrier is AT&T and I don't like the white color. It's been 6 months since I've gotten the phone.
You can't trade in an iPhone to get it in a different color.

Ask someone who's had any black phone with a metal back for a while to show it to you (look at the demo/display phones at an Apple store). You'll see scrapes on the bottom, especially at the charging port exposing the aluminum color under the black anodizing.
Those scrapes are not nearly as obvious on a white phone.
