Can I use a purchased iphone from apple store and then use my regular plan with no data on it? - 1

I'm using Tmobile and I've been in a family plan with no data. I'm planning to get rid of my flip phone and buy an iphone but i'm not planning to change plan with data. Can I do that?

Nope. Either leaving the Apple store or when you go to Tmobile they will place you on a data plan of some kind--e.g. To get it at the price you think you will be getting it for means you have to sign a new (data) contract. That's how carriers roll--e.g. Make money. Can't own a smartphone (on contract) and not have data. If you have a lot of Wi-Fi access for home, work, school, coffee shop, whatever, shop Tmobile for the best data package that fits your wallet before you start. Best luck.

I don't know if you are allowed to do that. But I do know that Net10 offers a $35 per 30 service days airtime card for unlimited talk, text and NO DATA. This may be an option for you if you want to use your new phone.
You will have to purchase a new sim card for Net10, register your phone with Net10 and purchase an airtime card for $35.

No cell carrier will service any smartphone without adding a data plan. That's always been the way it is.
