Can I use a Sprint Jail broken iPhone for sprint?
I recently had my iPhone stolen and I have sprint, I'm still in a two year contract and don't qualify for an upgrade till next year. So my friend said he would sel me a iPhone for sprint which is jail broken, And I was just wondering if that would work for sprint? Can I go to the store and ask if I can get my same number and a sim card and use that iPhone instead of buying a brand new iPhone because I can't afford the prices of an iPhone retail. Or if there are any other options or maybe if you had a similar experience?
You should first find out if you have insurance. Usually you can file a lost phone claim which does require a deductible. I'm almost certain that you can activate it as long as the ESN is clear.

Ok so I know the jail brake for the iPhone 5 is coming out, so I have a T-mobile plan and I've recently got an sprint iPhone5 basically my question is will I be able to use my T-mobile service on the sprint iPhone 5 since the jail brake is coming. Will I need to buy one of those chips that go into the SIM card tray such as the r-sim7?
