Can I use my unlocked iPhone 3G for T-mobile prepaid plans?
I currently have Verizon and I don't like their high prices for data, so I want to switch to T-Mobile. I would like to use my unlocked iPhone 3G for their prepaid $30/month plan for unlimited texting, 5GB of data with 100 minutes. It is the perfect plan for me and I don't want to miss out on it. I have been researching this for such a long time and I can't get a straight answer. Some people say, "Yes, you can use an unlocked iPhone for T-Mobile prepaid" while others argue that you can't. I just want one simple answer to the yes or no question.
Can I use my unlocked iPhone 3G for a T-Mobile prepaid plan?
Thank you
Added (1). I'm also okay with using another touchscreen smartphone, if anyone has any suggestions that would work on the prepaid plan.
Yes they are making right now a "pre-paid iPhone"
Call up straight talk (pre-paid from walmart $40 a month unlimited everything)
You sure can. The only thing is, even though your iphone is 3g enabled, it will be running on t-mobile's edge internet speed for now. Which means it is slower than 3g - for now. I was at t-mobile today, by the end of this year, or early next year, your phone should be able to get 3g speeds with t-mobile.
- Will an unlocked at&t iphone 3gs work with any prepaid plans? A friend recently upgraded and said I could her have her old iphone 3gs. I live on a tight budget so the prepaid plan works best for me. So I'm wondering will any of the prepaid plans work with this phone?
- Which do you recommend? Iphone 5s Smart Plans or Iphone 5s Globe Plans? I'm confused. I've heard a lot of negative comments about globe internet speed and secret extra charges. But it seems that there are more recommendations to go for globe iphone plans. What's wrong with Smart? Which is more advisable for first timers in mobile plans?
- What is the difference between T-Mobile's $70 and $60 prepaid plans? My girlfriend currently uses the $70 prepaid service for her iPhone 5, but wants to spend less money every month. She's thinking about switching to the $60 or $50 plans but we don't really know the differences between them because they all give relatively little information on the plan selection screen, and they all say unlimited everything. I'd just like some help figuring out if they slow your data drastically or something like that. A detailed explanation of each plan.
- IPhone 5s plans for StraightTalk, T-Mobile, and Virgin Mobile? I'm going to get an unlocked iPhone 5s. However, my parents will not pay for the at&t, sprint and verizon plans. They said that they would do the straight talk, virgin mobile, or T-mobile plans because it is cheaper. I was wondering when the plans would come out for the 5s, and about how much they would be (compare it with the iPhone 4 when it came out). I really want to get this phone fast and start using it.
